Last Month Of Summer
Well folks, August is upon us. Summer is almost over and then it's back to the norm. (Whatever that means.) And July was really good month. Always, the support is so awesome from our family of EvoTat. It makes us so happy to have such great supporters that keep coming in time after time to get tattooed. Thank you all!
We've ran a couple specials this summer and they didn't do well. It's surprising really. You here all the time how tattoo artists charge so much for tattoos. The price for tattoos hasn't changed since the early 90's. Tattooing maintains consistent through the decades no matter the economy. Tattooing is something you can trust to not go away, and not rip you off. If you find the right people anyhow. So back in June Adam and Joel really wanted to get all those people who wanted portraits done to finally be able to afford them, and they were just itching to do some portrait work anyway. For two weeks EvoTat ran a special for black and grey, and color portraits $200-300 dollars. Did anyone come in? Sadly no. What a bummer of a tattoo special right? Then in July EvoTat ran a special for 30% Traditional. Okay folks, now please understand something. Running specials is extremely frowned upon in the industry, but we here at EvoTat understand that Canon's economy is a little rough right now and we want to take care of our people. So we took 30% off traditional to help all of you out. Did anyone come in for our special? Sadly no. Again.
So we ask Canon City, what's the point? If we run specials to help your pocket out and we do some fun work for us, are you going to come in? If there's some specials you'd like to see, hit us up! Tell us what you'd like to see from you local tattoo shop. We don't want to rape you pocketbook, but we still need to keep our lights on. Adam has always made it point to give people the best prices possible. Which leads us to the other special which has gotten a little bit more attention. The $400 for a day special. That's 6 hours for 400 bones. That's 200 bucks off. We don't know about you, but that's a sweet deal! Guys like Mike Devries, Nikko Hurtado, Roman Abrego wouldn't give ya deal like that. You're looking at a $1000 dollars a day! Now this isn't California, or New York, Seattle, Austin or even Denver. Bigger cities have bigger quotes, and bigger overheads.
This is a humble town, and we want to be humble artists and take care of our friends. We're doing competition quality, award winning artwork. Not bragging, just saying. That kind of work, for humble costs. We want to give you the quotes that make you happy, make your pocketbook happy, as well as do the work that makes us happy.
We're going to be doing more conventions in the future so if you're interested in getting some crazy, sick awesome work for a discounted price, hit us up! We'll give ya discounts for going to Springs, and/or Denver to compete! We'll do our tip top, absolute, no holds barred work if you're willing to compete. The Ink For Life Tour show in Denver was a crazy brutal competition. Work from Nikko Hurtado, Halo Jankowski, and Jeremy Miller were there! Pretty hard to compete against those guys! That show was a blast to be around so many great artists, and knowledge! It was so much fun to have our first booth! Next year is going to be busy busy!
If you're also interested in some discounted work, come on into the studio, Joel, Bee, Adam, and our newest grunt Zakk! Zakk's got some sick flash coming out and we would love to hook you up on it! Visit EvoTat.com for more info on stuff like that. Also we now have shirts! Guys and girls. Sadly we have limited sizes, but come on in to pick one up! They are adorned with custom graphics from Adam's hand! Boom!
We hope see all of you soon!
With much love!
